Ian is one of the world's most experienced amputee casualty actors, having been involved in live exercises since 2006. He's a double leg amputee , one above knee and one below, and he has missing fingers on one hand. He has his own top-grade SFX roll-on prosthetics for his stumps to make his legs look like they've just been blown off, and he has a similar prosthetic for his amputated fingers.
"Over the years I've did over a hundred live exercises for the government, from the army to the NHS, plus other agencies, all over mainland Britain. I have my own transport and as well as being a good actor I'm strong, fit, reliable, knowledgable about trauma injuries and familar with how live exercises work.
My rate starts at £445 per day, plus fuel and accomodation (the latter only if needs be).
This includes me and a highly skilled SFX make-up artiste for the day. - the SFX artist would also be able to make-up any 'walking wounded' casualties you've arranged.
I'm have full DBS and Disclosure Scotland and am fully vetted.
I sometimes do work for the large agencies who also provide this service and am happy to work with them, too, but this page is for booking just me. If you need a lot of amputees for a single job you'd be better contacting Casualty Resources or Calian directly - they're great people and excellent in their fields, too.
If you're a registered charity and need my help but are struggling for funds, reach out and we'll see what can be done.
I don't just do military and civilian casualty simulation, I can do background work for TV, film, theatre or video games. I even enjoy more unusual jobs, zombie or horror events, halloween stuff, battle re-enactments etc. I have my own transport and am usually available at short notice.
I prefer jobs in Scotland or in the northern half of England but will consider all offers.
Thanks for taking the time to look, I look forward to hearing from you, and bleeding for you, soon.
all the best, Ian"
