Ian’s autobiography “Burnt: Surviving Against All the Odds - Beaten, Burnt and Left for Dead. One Man's Inspiring Story of His Survival After Losing His Legs” was released in August 2007 and is available online and in all good book shops. Mirage publishing.

Ian has also just finished writing a book for The Murray Foundation, a charity that offers support and information to amputees and their families. A substantial portion of anything the book makes will go to the charity. The book is entitled “Nine Lives” and tells the story of how different people have adapted to limb loss in a positive way. Ian also hopes to write the life stories of two celebrities in the near future, one is a pop star, the other is a famous footballer. Keep checking this site for updates on these projects.

He has also created a new Scottish hero in a series of short historical novels based around true events due for release in 2008. The Scottish hero and his ancestors/descendants fight in various armies around the world at battles like Culloden and the Little Big Horn. They are also ideally suited for TV/ film.
